20 February – 5 March 2026

20 February: Flight to Mwanza in Tanzania.
21–24 February: In Mwanza, accommodation at Hotel Tilapia, located by Lake Victoria. During the stay we will visit schools together with our partners Friends of Kenya and Tanzania (hakizetu.org) and learn about projects supported by the group. These include water supply for schools and tree-planting projects in cooperation with Nourish Africa (https://nourishafrica.org/). This gives participants the chance to experience Tanzania in a different way than ordinary tourists usually do.
It will also be possible to take a boat trip to Saanane National Park, located on a small island just off Mwanza.

24–28 February: On the morning of 24 February, safari jeeps will pick up the group before setting off on safari through Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks to experience the rich wildlife there. At this time of year, wildebeest and zebra herds are in the southern part of the parks. They are calving and preparing for The Great Migration. At this time it is common to see many lions and other big cats moving around the herds. Accommodation will be in well-equipped tents, with the last night spent at a hotel in Arusha.

28 February – 5 March: Flight from Kilimanjaro Airport to Zanzibar. Accommodation for three nights at a luxury hotel, followed by two nights in Stone Town, the charming historic melting pot of Arab, European, and African cultures.
5 March: Return flight, arriving in Reykjavík on 6 March.

Price: 730,000 ISK per person (based on two sharing a tent/room)
