Volunteering in Mwanza, Tanzania

Tasks

For years, Múltikúlti and Friends of Kenya and Tanzania have sent young volunteers to Mwanza on Lake Victoria to work with our local partners. Volunteers assist at the Hakizetu vocational training centre, where young women learn tailoring and other trades, take part in tree planting and environmental education with Nourish Africa, and help with teaching at schools around the city.

Volunteers live together in Mwanza, get to know the everyday life of the local community and work alongside them on projects that matter. As with all of Múltikúlti’s work, the organisation is run entirely by volunteers, and participants cover their own travel and living costs.
